There are differences in mastery of concepts in a scientific field between an educator and a scientist or noneducator. For an educator, knowledge in a field of science must be complemented by pedagogical knowledge (Pediagogical Content Knowledge/PCK) (Maryati et al., 2019). This is also confirmed by various theories and field evidence, which states that an educator’s ability should be to fully master teaching techniques in the field of science they teach. In practical terms, PCK is a teacher’s skill in conveying the material being taught to students, so that students can understand the material being studied more easily. PCK must be owned by a professional teacher, supported by extensive teaching experience. Long experience for a teacher will automatically strengthen knowledge in the learning process, however, a prospective teacher with limited experience must also be able to train himself to improve his PCK. Prospective teachers can improve PCK through excellent content mastery accompanied by strong pedagogical skills.
